EarthCube Governance funding requests due Oct 1st

The EarthCube Office is pleased to announce $100,000 is available for governance budgets as part of the ECO Year 3 budget. To apply for funding, please review the information below and complete the form below by October 1, 2021.


Eligibility

Members of the following committees are eligible to apply for funding:

  • Leadership Council (Charter)

  • The Science & Engagement Team (SET, Charter)

  • The Technology & Architecture Committee (TAC, Charter)

  • The Council of Data Facilities (CDF, Charter)

  • The Council of Funded Projects (CFP, Charter)


Criteria:

  • The project must be directly related to the goals of an EarthCube Governance Committee as described in their respective Charter and/or as discussed by Committee Leadership.

  • There is no maximum funding amount, but we would like to support as many of the best ideas possible.

  • Proposal costs must include overhead.

  • Project funds must be spent out no later than April 30, 2022.

  • Preference will be given to project proposals that are received by October 1, 2021.

Timeline:

Proposals received after October 1, 2021 will be considered only if there are remaining funds. Your proposal will be reviewed by the Leadership Council and your team will receive feedback within 30 days.


Suggestion:

Please do not include subawards in your budget as they can cause significant administrative delays.
