Summary: The EarthCube Building Block for Integrating Discrete and Continuous Data (DisConBB, 2013-2015) chose for its primary use case the National Flood Interoperability Experiment, a collaboration among federal agencies, research centers and commercial vendors, with the goal of modeling streamflow and flood forecasts at the local scale (3km catchments and stream reaches) across the nation, in near-real time.
